Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland (ARTI) is the governing body responsible for the promotion, regulation, and continued education of Certified Athletic Therapists in Ireland.
ARTI is dedicated to ensuring that all Certified Athletic Therapists (CAT) provide the highest quality of healthcare to all patients and athletes. This is achieved by reinforcing the emphasis on evidence-based practice through mandatory continued professional development (CPD) and through the maintenance of emergency care certification.
Given the wide variety of allied health professions involved in the field of sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and rehabilitation it is important that CAT’s can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and ARTI hopes to work closely with the representative bodies of these professions to further communication and knowledge in the field of sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine.
ARTI’s Professional Practice and Discipline Guidelines and Procedures are intended to inform Certified Athletic and Rehabilitation Therapists, ARTI exam applicants, consumers of athletic and rehabilitation therapy services and members of the public of the disciplinary guidelines and procedures.
ARTI is involved in the worldwide advancement of Athletic Therapy and Athletic Training professions. ARTI are proud members of the World Federation of Athletic Therapy and Training (WFATT). WFATT’s vision is to make Athletic Therapy and Training recognized as an essential part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams worldwide.
