Full time undergraduate athletic therapy student at Dublin City University, TUS Athlone or SETU Carlow. You will be required to upload a valid student ID or proof of student status.

Certified Membership

€120.00

Any person who has successfully passed the ARTI Exam. You are required to upload 1) your college transcripts/certificate, 2) proof of completion of the ARTI Certification exam, 3) current valid Insurance, and 4) an in-date Emergency First Responder (EFR) and Cardiac First Responder (CFR) certification (membership cannot be approved until all documents are uploaded on your member portal). You also need to upload 30 hours CPD (20 hours structured, 10 hours unstructured).

Retired Member

€50.00

Any person who has held ARTI Membership and has recently retired from the profession and would like to continue supporting, receiving information and benefits around the profession of athletic therapy in Ireland.

Allied Health Professional Membership

€75.00

To be recognised as an associate allied healthcare professional you must have a honours degree in an recognised allied health profession (for example physiotherapy), have membership and insurance with the relevant professional body. You will be required to upload 30 hours CPD in your other health profession, college transcripts/certificate of other health profession, membership of your other health profession, insurance for your other health profession.

Certified International

€50.00

Any person who has successfully passed the ARTI Exam who is living and working outside of Ireland for 50% of the ARTI year. You will be required to upload your 1) college transcripts/certificate, 2) proof of successful completion of the ARTI certification exam, 3) current valid Insurance, and 4) in-date Emergency First Responder (EFR) and Cardiac First Responder (CFR) certification (membership cannot be approved until all documents are uploaded on your member portal). You will also need to upload 30 hours CPD (20 hours structured, 10 hours unstructured) and proof of international address. As part of the International Arrangement, you must maintain your membership to the Athletic Therapy body with which you first qualified.

Non Certified International

€50.00

Any person with membership of an organisation in the International Arrangement (BASRaT, BOC, CATA). You will be required to complete a credentialing evaluation prior to eligibility to sit the ARTI Certification exam.


** The ARTI year runs from August 1st – July 31st each year. All memberships, regardless of date of purchase, will expire on 12:00 midnight July 31st of the at ARTI year and will need to be renewed. Therefore, membership, using the title Athletic Therapist (AT), the postnominal letters CAT, attend the ARTI AGM (all members, stand for Office in ARTI (certified members only) Vote at the ARTI AGM (certified members only), public liability insurance cover, availing of Irish Life Health Patient ‘Pay & Reimburse’ schemes, any and all membership befits bestowed on the a certified member of ARTI at that time will be invalid and void until membership is brought out of arrears and will not be backdates. Membership that in arrears for two consecutive ARTI years is will have to pay all arrears present CPD for period in arears and resit the ARTI Exam. ARTI members who wish to resign from ARTI and the using the title Athletic Therapist (AT) the postnominal letters CAT can do so in writing, to the ARTI Secretary.
